Women's Political Participation and Leadership Assessment: Kyrgyz Republic Report

The WPPL Assessment Framework aims to identify key barriers and opportunities to advancing WPPL that exist at the individual, socio-cultural, and structural levels within focus countries. The findings are intended to guide program strategies, activity design, and allocation of resources aimed at advancing WPPL in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Assessment’s findings are derived from a desk review of relevant literature, a survey of politicians, key informant interviews (KII), and focus group discussions (FGD) with politicians, civil society, and media in Bishkek city, Saruu village in the Issyk-Kul oblast, and Novo-Pokrovka village in the Chui oblast.
