What is the Evidence on Government Responsiveness in Developing Countries? Join USAID's Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Center on June 28 for a presentation by Guy Grossman (University of Pennsylvania) and Tara Slough (New York University) to discuss their findings on this very question. As their recent review study shows, examining interactions between dyads (or pairings) of three key actors --politicians, bureaucrats and citizens-- provides rich theoretical and empirical terrain for developing our understanding of responsiveness and accountability in low and middle income countries.
